Board of Directors of the Urban Agency of Tangier
On Tuesday 03 October 2023, the 21st session of the Board of Directors of the Urban Agency of Tangier was held at the headquarters of the Wilaya of Tangier, chaired by Mr Reda Guennoun, Inspector General of the Department of Territorial Planning and Urban Development, and in the presence of the Wali of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Region, Governor of the Prefecture of Tangier-Assilah, the Governor of the Province of Fahs-Anjra, the presidents of the local authorities and professional chambers, as well as the representatives of the relevant governmental sectors and external services.
This event was not only an opportunity to present the record of achievements of the Urban Agency of Tangier during the year 2022 and its action plan for the year 2023 and towards the 2025 horizon, but it also constituted an opportunity to recall the increasingly important place it occupies at the heart of the institutional landscape, and the pioneering role it plays in supporting the various stakeholders at the regional and local levels, with a view to a harmonious and balanced development of its territory.
Thus, during this meeting, Mrs Mahassine Baraca, Acting Director of the Urban Agency of Tangier, highlighted the considerable efforts made by her institution in order to improve its performance and meet the needs of its users and partners, through her presentation in which she set out for the audience the various performance indicators for the year 2022 and the main actions to be undertaken over the next three years, along several fundamental axes.
The proceedings of the 21st session of the Board of Directors of the Urban Agency of Tangier concluded with the unanimous approval of the moral and financial report for the previous year, the action plan for the years 2023-2024-2025 and the draft budget for the current year. They then ended with the reading of the letter of allegiance addressed to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and glorify him.
